Widely cultivated, the sesame plant is found in most of the tropical, subtropical, and southern temperate areas of the world.
Whole sesame seeds are rich in several types of vitamins B, and dietary minerals, especially iron, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, and zinc. Sesame seeds contain 20% of vitamin B
Sesame has one of the highest oil contents of any seed. With a rich, nutlike flavor, it is a common ingredient in cuisines across the world.
